Veteran's Day

Thank you to all the Veterans who have served and continue to serve this country. Today we recognize your selflessness and the sacrifices you have made.

Comprehensive Plan Open House November 15

Please join the PCZBA and Teska Associates on November 15 from 6-8 pm at Village Hall (40 E Center Avenue) for an Open House. Stop by and share your thoughts on housing, land use, and more to help inform the goals and priorities of the Plan.

The best way to stay in the loop is to subscribe to the plan website; this will keep you posted on all project news and events as they are announced. While you’re there, make sure to share your ideas to the comment map (and come back whenever inspiration strikes) and, if you haven’t yet, take the five-minute survey to let us know your priorities for Lake Bluff’s future.

Volcano MulchingDid you know that too much mulch is bad for a tree? Volcano mulching occurs when mulch is piled up around the trunk and can cause disease. Instead, limit mulch to 3” in depth and keep it away from the bark. Click here to see an example.

Batteries Not Included. Rather than placing batteries in your garbage, bring your batteries to the Village of Lake Bluff Recycling Center's elcetronics bin.  For more information on recycling batteries, click here

For the Birds. Consider reducing light at night to enjoy the night sky and keep nocturnal populations and migrating birds safe by using: 1) the lowest level of lighting needed, 2) soft (2500K) and/or fully shielded bulbs, and 3) timed or motion-sensing lights.
