‚ÄćComprehensive Plan Update Underway

The Lake Bluff Comprehensive Plan update is just getting started, which means there are plenty of opportunities to make your voice heard in the Village’s future! The best way to stay in the loop is to subscribe to the plan website to be notified of all project news and events as they are announced. While you’re there, make sure to share your ideas to the comment map (and come back whenever inspiration strikes) and if you haven’t yet, take the five-minute survey to let us know your priorities for Lake Bluff’s future.

‚ÄćVillage Community Updates

No Tempest in a Teapot. This weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) Centerstage presents Shakespeare's The Tempest on the Village Green at 4 pm. For more information, click here. 


Hystori-cal Trivia Hunt. How much do you know about Lake Bluff? Test your knowledge and join the History Museum in the first ever Hystori-cal Trivia Hunt on September 15! Click here for tickets and more information. 


Happy Birthday! Lake Bluff is turning 128! Enjoy fireworks, music, food & drinks at Blair Park on September 23 at 4 pm. For more information click here. 

Electric Scooters. A few reminders for parents to share with their children... To avoid collisions with pedestrians, please walk scooters and bikes while downtown. Do not use electronic devices, including ear buds, headphones, or phones, while operating your scooter. Watch out for hazards at intersections and crosswalks, including vehicles and wet or uneven terrain.


A Wheely Great Event. Senator Julie Morrison is hosting a Mobile DMV event to allow convenient access to some Secretary of State services including driver's license renewal, vehicle registration stickers, real ID and more. For more information click here. 


Walk Don’t Run. Take a walk with a child and help the Village gauge walkability and bikeability in Lake Bluff! Click here for a walkability survey and here for a bikeability survey. Please send completed surveys to


Storytimes at the Library.¬†This Sunday at 2 pm, children and their grandparents are invited to join the Library for stories and crafts at the¬†We Celebrate Grandparents¬†eventÔĽŅ. Starting this Monday at 10:30 am the library is hosting Baby and Me for ages 0 ‚Äď 2. Children will listen to short stories, socialize, and listen to music. Lastly, next Thursday, at 10:30 am the library has¬†Together Time for Ages 2 and up with their parent or guardian (registration required).


Lake Forest High School Foundation. The LFHS Foundation is proud to partner with District 115 to enhance all aspects of the educational experience. Consider getting involved as a volunteer or as a sponsor for the Spring Luncheon or Pitch Night prize fund. For more information, click here.


CROYA News. Due to multiple CROYA Staff Members being out sick, the CROYA Facility will be temporarily closed until Tuesday, September 12. The CROYA van will not be picking up students during this time. The CROYA facility will be open for after school hours again on Tuesday, September 12 at 3:30pm (CROYA van will also begin again on September 12). If you have any questions, please e-mail CROYA Manager Todd Nahigian at CROYA’s Peer Training program at LFHS begins September 12. Agendas and meeting materials are typically available the Friday before a meeting; videos within a week after the meeting; and minutes after they are approved at the next meeting of the public body. The Village Board and Finance Committee Meetings orginally scheduled for Monday, September 11 has been cancelled.


The Historical Preservation Committee (HPC) Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 13 has been cancelled.
