Hops & History: Bootleggers, Bandits & Bathtub Gin. What was Prohibition like in Lake Bluff? The 18th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution banned alcohol nationwide from 1920 to 1933, but that didn’t stop the liquor train throughout the country nor in Lake Bluff. Part of the Museum’s History & Hops series, this event will be led by Lake Bluff History Museum co-founder Kathy O’Hara on August 16 from 6-8 pm, most appropriately at Lake Bluff Brewing Company. Tickets are available on the Museum’s website.
