EnviroFlash Air Quality Alerts. Due to recent air quality concerns, Lake County suggests that residents sign up for EnviroFlash air quality alerts. Click here to sign up.

 

Electric Scooters. A few reminders for parents to share with their children... To avoid collisions with pedestrians, please walk scooters and bikes while downtown. Do not use electronic devices, including ear buds, headphones, or phones, while operating your scooter. Watch out for hazards at intersections and crosswalks, including vehicles and wet or uneven terrain.

 

Bluffinia. The Park District's Bluffinia concert featuring Strung Out (70's music) starts at 6 pm on the Village Green this Sunday, July 23. 

 

Bike Race and Family Fun Ride. The Northwestern Medicine Lake Bluff Criterium Bike Race is almost here again! Lake Forest Bank & Trust is sponsoring this year's Family Fun Ride on July 29 starting at 6 pm on Oak Ave. Click here for more information.

 

An Evening of Poetry and Wine.¬†Lake Bluff History Museum invites you to "Plunge into the Lake: An Evening of Poetry and Wine‚ÄĚ on August 1 from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Museum. Lake Bluff author Kathryn Haydon will engage your imagination with a talk interspersed with readings from her newly published book,¬†Unsalted Blue Sunrise.¬†The evening will connect back to the Museum‚Äôs new exhibit on Lake Michigan to ignite your own memories and impressions of our ever-changing lake.¬†Click here to register.

Keep Pets Safe. There are 13 bat species commonly found in Illinois and their activity picks up in the summer. Bats are beneficial for pest control and pollination; however, bats can carry diseases including rabies so contact should be avoided. Residents should ensure that pets are current on required rabies vaccines and contact Lake County Animal Care & Control if exposures occur. Click here for more information.

  • Approving¬†daylight plane and side setback variances needed to construct a second floor addition at 500 East North Avenue, a Lake Bluff locally landmarked property.
  • Authorizing SWALCO grant funding for the Village‚Äôs Food Waste Diversion Pilot Project.
  • Issuing a Fireworks Permit for the Lake Bluff Birthday Bash.

 

The Business Advisory Ad Hoc Committee (BAC) meeting scheduled for July 26 was cancelled.
