Village and Community Updates

DEERPATH ROAD will not close this weekend. Instead, a full closure is scheduled in Lake Forest between Ahwahnee Lane and Route 41 next weekend (November 18-21). Intermittent closures will occur throughout the week of November 7. Click here for more information.

VETERAN'S DAY will be observed next week on Friday, November 11 starting at 9 a.m. on the Village Green. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Public Safety Building (45 E. Center Ave.).

CROYA'S ANNUAL POINSETTA SALE order forms are available at croya.com. For more information, contact Susan Simms at (847) 810-3980. All proceeds support CROYA programs, youth scholarships, and senior awards.

 

LFHS COMMUNITY FORUM. District 115 is hosting a forum to discuss a possible April 2023 referendum to address the highest-priority LFHS facility needs. You can submit questions (before next Friday, November 11); attend in person; or watch a livestream.

 

COMED TREE TRIMMING will soon take place near Lake Bluff Elementary School. ComEd's trimming program is authorized by state law to avoid power outages resulting from tree interference with power lines. For more information, visit ComEd.com/Trees.

Recent Architectural Board of Review Meeting (November 1 at 7 p.m.). The ABR:

  • Recommended the Village Board approve changes to the roof of the Public Safety Building (45 E. Center Ave.).
  • Discussed upcoming building code updates including implementation of the Village's local fire sprinkler requirements.

Upcoming Historic Preservation Commission Meeting (Wednesday, November 9 at 7 p.m.). The HPC will start a demolition review for the single-family residence located at 1 Moffett Road.
