TOUR DE BLUFF NEXT SATURDAY: This year's Lake Bluff Criterium is back and bigger than ever! The Lake Bluff leg of the Intelligensia Cup is part of the national American Criterium Cup and will be professionally broadcast on Outside TV. For more information, visit lakebluffcriterium.com

  • Street Closures. Scranton Avenue between Sheridan Road and Evanston Avenue will be closed from 6:30 a.m. until late Saturday evening. Streets within the course will close Saturday morning starting at 8:30 a.m. and reopen after races are concluded (approximately 8 p.m.).
  • Volunteers. The Criterium needs your help - click here for volunteering information. Help is especially needed between 5:15 and 7:40 p.m. during the pro races.
  • Family Fun Ride. Families can ride the course together, just like the pros! Sign-ups for the family fun ride are open in-person at Lake Forest Bank & Trust, 4 E. Scranton Ave.

CART REFRESH STARTING. IMPORTANT! Groot will start delivering brand new landfill and recycling carts next week (July 25-29). Old carts will be removed the following week (Aug. 1-5). Deliveries will happen throughout the week and may occur later than your regular collection day. Starting Monday, August 1, place old carts at the curb and leave them until they are removed. If you have any issues, call Groot at (877) 404-7668. This replacement is part of the Village's updated residential waste, recycling, and composting program.

 

LOCK IT! Burglaries and car thefts continue to hit the North Shore. Don't be a victim. Lock your cars and don't leave keys or valuables in your vehicle.

 

BIKE PATH BRIDGE CLOSURE. The Robert McClory Bike Path will detour in Lake Forest from July 25 until August 16. Click here for more information.

 

NEW MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT NOW AVAILABLE. Lake County Health Department now offers mobile crisis care as an alternative to calling 911 when someone is experiencing a mental health crisis. You can contact the crisis line confidentially by calling 988. 988 can be dialed throughout the country for crises.
