Recent Village Board Meeting (Monday, July 11, 7 p.m.). The Village Board:

Honored the public service of Deputy Fire Chief Steve Willard (45 years of service) and Village Forester Bob Hertel (retiring after 25 years of service).
- Received an update on capital improvements.
- Approved the replacement of two police vehicles.
- Amended the Village Administrator's employment agreement.

Gave first reading approval to:
- Designating 500 E. North Ave. as a historic landmark and granting variations to allow for the modification of the building's second floor.
- Residential variations for a pergola at 305 E. Scranton Ave.
The Architectural Board of Review meeting rescheduled for Tuesday, July 12 was cancelled.
The Historic Preservation Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 13 was cancelled.
The Sustainability and Community Enhancement Ad Hoc Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 19 is cancelled.
Upcoming Village Board & Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals Special Meeting (Wednesday, July 20, 7 p.m.). The Village Board and PCZBA will continue discussing proposed changes to the Village's planned residential development regulations.
The Police Pension Board Meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 21 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, July 26.
