Family:
Husband Nate, (we grew up in Minnesota and met in HS), and two daughters. One at LBES and one at LBMS. Also, family King Charles Cavalier, Silas (1yo). Everyone in LB has a dog so we had to join the trend this year!
Village Resident:
Village resident since 2013 when we moved up from the city. We rented for the first two years and then purchase our home in the North Terrace.
Education:
Graduated from Eagan, HS in Eagan, Minnesota. B.A. from Mount Holyoke College. Attended the London School of Economics. Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota.
Occupation:
I am a family law lawyer and together with my partners I am the owner of the all-female law firm Steiner Howeth Pasquesi & Hatch, Ltd. Prior to that I worked as a Public Defender in Lake County for 15 years.
Community Involvement:
I am the president of the Lake County Bar Association the purpose of which is to promote the rule of law and the legal profession. I am also a member of the Community Outreach committee of the Lake County Bar Association, and I am a volunteer lawyer with the Volunteer Lawyer Network of Lake County.
Hobbies and Interests:
I am love watching my two girls play sports (basketball, skiing, gymnastics), but especially soccer! You can find me on a court or field all over Lake Bluff throughout the year. I love to walk around the village with my dog and girlfriends to refresh and focus. Politics is my other hobby, so I am always involved in supporting qualified candidates throughout Lake County because I firmly believe that all politics are local.
Village Issues Most Concerned With (not listed in any particular order):
Most concerned with the safety of the village, primarily ensuring the safety of our children. Stormwater is a big issue that we must tackle. Fiscal health of the village. Environment.
