The Village leaf blower regulations intend to promote sustainable landscape practices by transitioning from the use of gas-powered leaf blowers to the use of other, more sustainable methods and means.

  • The Village code currently has a 4.5-month  ban on gas-powered or propane-powered leaf blowers.
    • This ban spans from May 15th to September 30th.
  • These restrictions do not apply to public parks, school playgrounds, athletic fields, golf courses, street construction projects, or emergencies (as authorized by VA)
  •  Electric leaf blowers may continue to be used with no seasonal restrictions.
  • A fine of $25 will be imposed for the first offense, and subsequent offenses may amount to $750
