CALEA Assessment - Public Information Session

Assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) will remotely evaluate aspects of the Lake Bluff Police Department’s policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services December 7th-9th, 2020.

As part of the assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public information session on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. Due to current in-person meeting safety recommendations, the hearing will be conducted remotely via Zoom.  Members of the public may view and participate in the meeting by visiting (strongly recommended) or by dialing (312) 626-6799 and entering meeting ID 881 5133 9169 (Press # when prompted for a Participant ID). If for some reason an individual cannot speak at the public information session but would like to provide comments to the assessment team, he/she may do so Tuesday, December 8 from 2-4:00 p.m. by dialing (312) 626-6799 and entering meeting ID 892 5568 9175. Callers will be queued and admitted one at a time to speak with the assessors.

Telephone comments as well as appearances at the public information session are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA standards.  A copy of the standards is available at the Lake Bluff Police Department at 45 E. Center Avenue, Lake Bluff.
