Ladies and Gentlemen (Residents of Lake Bluff, or nearby)
Boys and Girls (Eighteen or older meeting the above residency requirements),]

  • When you were about five years old, did you have a red plastic fireman's helmet, a yellow raincoat and black knee-high boots that you wore constantly?
  • When you were finally allowed to ride your first bike away from your home block, did you regularly chase the sirens to see where the firetrucks were going?
  • Do you enjoy the feel of an adrenaline rush?
  • Do you want to know what it really means when someone says that they have your back?
  • Do you really mean it when you say you want to give something back to your community?
  • Would you like to drive a vehicle that costs more than a Ferrari, one that has a siren, a bell, and flashing lights?
  • Would you like to associate with a great group of like-minded people?

Maybe it is time to start living the dream instead of dreaming the dream. If the answer to the above questions is yes, then consider joining the Lake Bluff Volunteer Fire Department.
