Recent Committee-of-the-Whole (November 11, 6 p.m.).The consensus of the COW was not to pursue a pilot program that would allow non-highway vehicles (golf carts) to operate on Village streets.
Recent Village Board Meeting (November 11). The Village Board:
- Conducted a public hearing concerning the 2019 property tax levy and gave first reading approval to various ordinances to enact the levy.
- Approved allowing an animal hospital to operate at 999 Sherwood Terrace.
- Gave first reading approval to:
- Changing various commercial sign regulations in the L-1 and L-2 districts.
- Approving residential bulk variations for a partial demolition, renovation, and addition at 600 East Prospect Avenue.
- Allowing a restaurant to operate in the bicycle shop located at 79 Scranton Avenue.
Upcoming Architectural Board of Review Meeting (December 3). The ABR will:
- Conduct a site plan review of alterations to the trash and generator enclosure at the Public Safety Building (45 E. Center Ave.).
- Discuss proposed brick pavers to be installed near Village Hall (40 E. Center Ave.) for the Village's 125th anniversary.
Upcoming Sustainability and Community Enhancement Meeting (December 4). The SEC will discuss:
- Current status of the chicken and bee pilot programs.
- Progress regarding the Landscape Playbook.
- Progress regarding the Comprehensive Plan.
- Sustainability communications efforts.
