| The Village contracts with the Lake County Health Department to provide animal and rabies control services. The County Health Department responds to emergency service calls (vicious animals, apprehension of unowned injured animals, impoundment of strays, biting animals and wildlife within a resident's living quarters) without authorization from the Village. For all other service calls, residents must notify the Police Department. Once a report has been made to the Village, the Police Department will coordinate services with the Lake County Health Department. |
