A community unique in character and hometown values, the Village of Lake Bluff, Illinois is located 35 miles north of the City of Chicago. Bordered by the City of Lake Forest to the south, the Village of Green Oaks to the west, Great Lakes Naval Training Center to the north, and Lake Michigan to the east, the Village of Lake Bluff is home to over 6,000 residents.

Lake Bluff is a full service municipality providing: twice weekly back-door refuse collection; sidewalk snow plowing; state-of-the-art 24 hour emergency 911 services; and water via a high quality water treatment facility to name just a few of the outstanding services provided by the Village.
"outstanding services provided by the Village." Public Safety is provided by a fully accredited Police Department and a volunteer Fire Department. The Police Department recently received reaccredidation by CALEA and the Fire Department has received the highest Insurance Services Office (ISO) rating for an all volunteer force. The Public Works Department maintains Village streets, the Village water and sewer system, parkways, collects household refuse, and fosters a healthy and natural environment through the Village’s Tree Management Program.
